Paddle and Play Yoga with Cocoon Yoga Lab

Learn the basics of SUP in a relaxed group setting. You will start on dry land, learning correct paddle height and hand placement, equipment overview, kneeling and standing on a board, and water safety. Then you will take it to the water to learn paddling techniques, turns and more. Once you have the basics, you’re free to paddle and play. No SUP experience is needed, but you must be a confident swimmer. Board, paddle and life vest provided.
This class will be held at Lake Atalanta in Rogers. We will meet at the boat launch on the left side of the lake. After you enter the Lake Atalanta area, take the 2nd exit on the round-about. This will take you to a small parking lot on the left side of lake and then a short walk to the launch area. You can park there or take the road straight and park even closer to the boat launch.
Please ensure you arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled class time. Critical instruction will be given at the beginning of each class that everyone will need to hear. If you arrive after the class hits the water, the instructor will not be able to leave the group to get you started. Please ensure you arrive on time to avoid missing the class.
What to bring: Water bottle, shoes you can wear in the water & sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, rash guard, etc.)
